OUR ORGANIC ORCHARDS

Our orchards include 9 hectares of organically farmed apple trees. It may not seem like much, but you should know that there are more than 3000 trees planted in our fields. These nine hectares of orchards are no longer just covered with tall apple trees like those of our Grandfathers;

In addition to this, you need to know more about it.

Too old, these trees have been partly replaced by low-stem apple trees of identical varieties but of smaller sizes and therefore easier to maintain. Despite everything, we have kept the varieties of apples from the Ancients with their bitterness and acidity so particular to cider apples from our region.
We have in particular very local varieties which bear the name of communes of Bessin such as "Gros Bois de Bayeux" and "Cartigny".

Who says different planting method says different cultivation method; with us the surfaces are only intended for growing apples, so there are no more cows under our apple trees.
